Tesco has already closed a number of counters and hot delis around the country after a review on counters started in 2019,reports. The review found that less and less customers have a need for them in stores, leading to the closure of the remaining counters. Tesco has, however, reassured workers that workers on counters will be offered alternative roles in stores. It is not known how many staff will be affected by this.It has been confirmed that all remaining counters and hot delis will be closed from February 26, giving customers just a few weeks to use them. However, Tesco has said that counters may not disappear entirely:"Where we can work with a third party to offer a counter experience in-store, we will continue to do so.
