Hundreds of employees took to Reddit to share their unique experiences

Tesco employees have shared their most shocking customer complaints, leaving people in stitches. These range from shoppers "storming out" to an irate woman returning a chicken she had "burnt in the oven".

With millions of Brits visiting their local Tesco each week, staff encounter a variety of personalities some more difficult than others.Numerous employees of the supermarket giant took to Reddit to share their unique experiences. Several revealed they've had confrontations with customers attempting to buy alcohol.

Another shared: "Was verbally abused for asking for ID, by a woman because she didn't have her ID on her, despite complaining that she keeps getting ID asked for. She knew she should've had it on her if she was going to try and buy alcohol", reports the Mirror. "I carried on explaining I have no idea where things are but offered to find a staff member to help and she went on a rant about how I'm employed by Tesco I should know the store, called me stupid and pushed past me...... not the first person to say that to me and probably won't be the last."
