Tesco shoppers 'fight' as hundreds queue for coronavirus supplies at NHS hour

Fights broke out and NHS workers walked away fearing for their health as over 1,000 Tesco shoppers queued at a time reserved for hospital workers, say witnesses.

JulianHeather1 Suspect a lot of people didn't know about the timing. We need the media to publicise these dedicated hours widely. I also suggest mobile shops going to hospitals for NHS staff to get all the basics to save them time and energy. How about closed cafes reinventing as mobile shops?

Possible solution. Open for NHS at 8.00 till 10.00. Close for 2 hours to allow customers to clear store /car park and get away safe. Open to general public at midday. Shouldn’t be necessary but might work.
