Plans for 1,200 Tesco distribution centre workers to strike have been suspended, the Unite union has said.
However, Usdaw union is yet to agree a deal with Tesco, after its 5,000 members also rejected the 4% rise. Unite members, which included warehouse staff and HGV drivers, had voted for industrial action on Monday at sites in Antrim, Belfast, Didcot and Doncaster. Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said the new pay agreement was the "least Tesco workers could expect", given the supermarket has "forecast profits for 2021 topping £2.5bn".
Maybe after Christmas they'll have made enough profit to give them all a pay raise?
