Terrified shopkeeper held at knifepoint in heart-stopping video

A Nottinghamshire shopkeeper was held at knifepoint as a pair of masked robbers forced them into handing over cash during a terrifying night raid. , Nottingham, at around 8.30pm on March 27.

After being threatened with a machete the shop worker handed over money from the till, with the robbers fleeing on foot shortly afterwards. Detectives from Nottinghamshire Police have been studying CCTV and doorbell footage, and carrying out forensics investigations, and have now released CCTV stills from the incident.

The video shows the two criminals walking to the shop, brandishing a large machete towards the staff member once inside, and running after taking the cash from the frightened employee. Detective Constable Liam O’Kane of Nottinghamshire Police said: “This must have been a frightening ordeal for the shop worker. No one should be put through an experience like this as they try to earn a living. We understand the deep emotional impact this sort of incident can have on victims.

"Likewise, if you have any other information or footage which you believe could help the investigation, please contact us.” Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 663 of March 27, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
