My online meat selling business has virtually collapsed. The lack of cheap labour and the refusal of most Brits to work below accepted animal welfare and hygiene standards really means we’re probably going to have to close and I’d just developed a new line of Alpaca burgers.

Dear Guardian, when the UK was a member of the EU (2016) there were 3.7 million EU nationals here. By June of this year (2021) 6m EU citizens had applied to remain - can you elaborate on the shortage of EU citizens?
