Offices from the Bury Challenger team executed a warrant in the area yesterday as part of a crackdown on serious and organised crime. Kashif Rehman, of Hazel Avenue, Bury, has since been charged.
The 18-year-old has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering. He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today, police said.Detective Sergeant Craig Murray, of GMP’s Programme Challenger Unit, said: "GMP is dedicated to the continued and relentless pursuit and disruption of serious criminality and the supply of controlled drugs. Programme Challenger is Greater Manchester’s response to tackling serious and organised crime.
"It tackles all manner of serious crime - county lines, exploitation of young children and vulnerable adults, modern slavery, immigration and economic crime and the use of firearms.
