Team Ulster are proudly celebrating their historic success at the Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games 2024.
Held for the first time in Ulster from March 22-23 the athletes showcased unparalleled dedication and skill, leaving an indelible mark on the Games and the hearts of spectators. With an impressive medal haul of 31 medals, Team Ulster emerged as champions, led by the Alpine Ski team’s exceptional performance.
The team’s remarkable success included 11 Gold, 10 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals, alongside commendable finishes in third and fourth place. Additionally, the Floorball team’s well-deserved silver medal added further glory to the team's triumph.For many athletes, the Winter Games in Ulster marked a significant milestone, with some experiencing their first time away from home during the two-day residential event.
