Susanna Reid's heartbreaking one-word response to Derek Draper's final doc

Susanna Reid had a touching one-word reaction to Kate Garraway's new ITV documentary about her husband Derek Draper.

In the clip, viewers saw Kate and Derek together as he wrote 'Covid changed everything'. Kate asked Derek if he thought it changed everything for him, and he said yes.Susanna talked about the power in the short video as she told GMB watchers that Kate knew people might react strongly to the documentary. But her co-host felt it was important to let Derek speak for himself.

From May last year, the special documentary tells real stories of love and joy that Derek and Kate, along with their kids, experienced. The film also sheds light on Derek's life before he got sick from coronavirus back in 2020. It'll explore his high-profile political career, his blossoming relationship with Kate, and the shift in their dynamics after Derek fell ill.

She said: "Obviously when we started making this documentary early last year, we had no idea the events that would unfold that ultimately took Derek from us. In January 2024, after he had passed, I wondered if it was right that it should ever come to air.
