A debate which created an unstoppable demand for devolution. The argument over Scottish independence will not be settled anytime soon. Nicola Sturgeon will not stop pursuing her case, no matter how many times she is rebuffed by Westminster.

They can't have another 'Indyref' for at least ten or fifteen years. Perhaps by then, there will be a movement, for UK to rejoin the EU. If it really does turn out to be as bad as she pretends!

As a hongkonger I am jealous of her/her party’s ability to fight for more power/independence in this peaceful way. Millions demonstrated, thousands risked their lives in hk just to have a fair election/independent investigation of the police..
If Scotland declare independence, this potentially has a material impact on the rest of the country. Surely the democratic thing to do would be to give folk in England, Wales and Northern Ireland a chance to vote for Scottish Independence. 🤔
She has to. It is the only thing that keeps her relevant and a smokescreen to detract from her Government’s inability to manage and get positive results with the devolved powers that they already have. The ‘people of Scotland ‘should demand better.

If they become independent does that mean they only have access to their own income fro tax and revenues and not that of the rest of the UK ? At the moment they have no hospital car parking fees , no university costs , and don’t pay for their prescriptions all funded by us .
Long game would be as she said in 2014, up to the next generation. A way of testing the scottish people would be to dissolve Scottish parliament and stand on your policies and results so far in running scotland. That would take Boris and UK government out of equation.
