A STUDENT has died hours after falling 40ft from a university bell tower where she had climbed to take photos for Instagram yesterday.
But journalism student Sydney suffered fatal injuries after slipping on her way up to the top of the Keating Hall clock tower. "Our hearts go out to Sydney’s parents, and her family and friends — theirs is an unimaginable loss, and we share their grief. The 22-year-old Barn Yard Barbecue worker, who only gave his first name Dave, said: "She was with a group of friends."My roommate was with them. He told me some seniors [wanted to go] to the tower to take some pictures and have a good time before graduating."AnneHe added: “She couldn’t breath. She hit her head."But Sydney and some friends sneaked in and were climbing its spiral staircase around 3 am when she tripped over some debris.
With no other recourse and time running out, medics loaded her into a rescue basket and began hoisting it up — with at least one paramedic riding along to perform chest compressions, according to sources.
Sadly lost her life trying to impress others
