Street Fighter 6 continues its steady march to the top of best-selling charts and the game’s continued success is due in part to its exciting single-player mode called World Tour. Never has a fighting game had this type of RPG element to it in the past, so both genre followers and action adventure fans alike are naturally excited to get stuck in with Capcom’s unique campaign offering.
Now, although the critically acclaimed installment is yet to be released, several media members and content creators have already been able to get a look at everything that the game has to offer. Because of this, not only do we know what the openingis going to look like but we now also have an idea of World Tour’s gameplay and environment and it seems as if the upcoming single-player mode’s design will be similar to that of the popular action RPG, Yakuza.
The Street Fighter 6 demo that Capcom previously released also gave us a preview of what Metro City is going to look like and the comparisons to Yakuza become even harder to deny. Apart from the fact that you get to create your own avatar in the beginning, being introduced to the iconic NPC’s, running around the urban setting, and using various recovery items are all reminiscent of the Japanese mafia-based series.
