The Met Office has issued two weather warnings for parts of the UK as the latest storm approaches the UK.

Storm Ciaran is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of southern England and Wales on Thursday. Meanwhile, two yellow weather warnings have been issued in response to expected unsettled conditions. However, the Met Office highlighted that more severe weather warnings for rain could be issued throughout the week with some areas potentially seeing as much as 50mm of rainfall in one night. A warning for Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Powys, and Swansea will be in effect between midnight on Sunday, October 29, and 9am on Monday morning. A second warning is issued for later on in the week which will be in place between midnight and 6pm on Thursday.BBC presenter Louise Lear said: "The beginning of November looks likely to be pretty unsettled.

The start of the week is expected to see brighter spells and few showers for most of the UK. However, by Thursday, conditions will become more unstable with heavy rain and strong winds more likely to occur.
