Stop telling obese people they're fat - it's not working

Is being a bit fat and a bit lazy a clinical condition? Is even posing such questions an admission of craven defeat in our ongoing battle of the bulge?Anyone already offended ought to keep reading. This is probably about you. And me and most other people “carrying a few extra pounds,” as the modern euphemism has it.

Not so! I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 10 years ago. I weigh 8 stone (6.5 when I got married a long time ago). I eat very healthily, I am a constant source of surprise to GPs.

But calling people blighted by the scourge of addiction 'junkies' is fine by your followers. Yet another double standard.

Stop telling people what to do and how to think - its not working.

Ultimately me being overweight is my own doing, so it's fair that I pay extra if my illness is caused by my fatness. Everyone should be striving to be the best they can be and not proud of a body shape with potential health issues. I'm doing something about it.

Not telling them works? Duh! 🙄 Obese

I agree, stop telling them their fat, maybe just take the cake off them...

This biggest point here is... it’s not you business. A persons health is between them and their doctor.

Next thing we know obesity will be promoted and non obese people will be discriminated because its the politically correct thing to do and means votes for politicians....

Tell them their slim that’ll work 🙄

Telling the truth works...lying and being in denial does not work. Everyone is required to some physical activity and proper nutrition.

Telling obese people to be body positive and calling them ‘plus-sized’, it’s not working.

Bit different if they aren’t in this week
