A report from this meeting stated: 'The sub committee considered that the serious nature of the alleged incident, coupled with concerns in relation to the significant failures in the effective management of the premises, meant that it was necessary to take interim steps pending the final determination of the review.
'For the prevention of crime and disorder, it was appropriate and necessary to suspend the premises licence for all licensable activities pending the final determination of the review.'GMP's press office told the LDRS that it could not comment on the issue "due to sensitivities of the matters being discussed."The establishment describes itself as a 'family run wine bar, restaurant and function room in the centre of Stockports’ historic underbank.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service found the bar to be closed, with a wooden board placed on its front window.The Underbanks area of Stockport is undergoing major changes at the moment, with new shops and outlets opening up, and regeneration work taking place to improve the area. It is a key part of plans to transform Stockport town centre and turn it into one of the best places to live and work in Greater Manchester.This recognised that the town has focused on the security and well-being of visitors and locals, while offering a lively and varied blend of food, entertainment, and culture.
