Stephen Lawrence's mother has been accused of making a "disgraceful and unfair slur" after claiming that firefighters tackling the Grenfell Tower blaze were racist.

If this is true then any respect I had for this previously dignified woman has gone, what a shame.
Thankfully the public know that our firefighters put their lives on the line every day to save others without prejudice or hesitation. I have the greatest sympathy for this woman who tragically lost her son but there is no excuse for this kind of remark.
