The feature film – set in a bustling London restaurant with a head chef who is spiralling out of control – was an instant hit with viewers and earned critical acclaim, including another Bafta nod for Outstanding British Film.. At the end of last year, it was announced that the feature film would be getting a five-part follow-up BBC series which would see Graham and a number of the original cast members reprise their roles.
“As the pressure mounts to keep the restaurant full, Carly begins to feel the magnitude of responsibility that comes with running her own place,” the series’ description reads. They will be joined by an exciting line-up of new cast members, including Bafta award-winner Cathy Tyson, who will play Carly’s mum, Vivian. Other names joining the list include Stephen Odubola as Johnny, Shaun Fagan as Bolton, Joel MacCormack as Liam, Ahmed Malek as Musa and newcomer Missy Haysom, who will make their television debut playing Kit.
