Camilla Ainsworth and Sarah Jayne-Dunn arrive to hear news about the 7th Anniversary of This is Manchester awards, at Dear Sailor bar in ManchesterStars headed out in the sunshine in Manchester to hear a major announcement about one of the city's biggest awards nights. The annual This is Manchester Awards celebrates the individuals, places and organisations that make the city great - and had a big announcement to make about the 2024 event.
Each year hundreds of businesses and individuals submit nominations across a selection of categories including restaurant of the year, venue of the year and Supernova awards honouring individuals who have made a big difference to city life. Awards founder Ziara Siddique announced at the event that this year the awards will have a brand-new home at

There’s no denying that its position at the centre of Manchester and our world class music and entertainment programme contributes to everyone involved in the city’s night-time economy."
It was also announced that this year’s awards will support Nordoff and Robbins – The UK’s largest music therapy charity, and continue to support the most vulnerable young people in the region with its continued involvement with Hideout Youth Zones.
