Haulier shortage: Keir Starmer fails mock lorry driving testThe Labour leader was warned to move to the left while visiting a HGV driver training centre and taking a lesson.
But after reversing the vehicle, and striking a bollard on the course in Oldham, he was warned he would have failed a test. The UK government has introduced temporary visas for 5,000 fuel tanker and food lorry drivers from abroad, after a Road Haulage Association survey found there were was a shortage of more than 100,000 qualified drivers.
Right… because the main thing about our political leaders we worry about is their ability to drive a truck.
He’s used to it by now
Hmm - looks like his future employment plans will need a rethink.
Is this news . I wonder what the bbc are trying to insinuate !?
Because he is useless it’s well known Ronjo
if he does move to the left that would be the end of the labour party as an opposition to the tory's.......
And this is considered a news item
Another failure for his CV and the Labour party.
Most of us would without proper training.
A rigid is nothing like an artic. Reversing a rigid is simple to Reversing an artic. I had been driving since 2001 until I quit HGV driving. As its no longer an enjoyable job.
This is a bizarre title, of course he did, i would, Johnson would, its certain anyone who works at the BBC who hadn't already been taught to drive HGVs would, the person who wrote this dumb tweet, unless they already drive lories, would have failed it.
BBC never seem to have a Johnson story of him failing at anything. Even though he failed thousands of British citizens by wanting to let bodies pile high during covid pandemic.
A labour leader failing a driving test.
That's ok, he can still retrain for a career in tech..
Honestly who is in charge of PR and Comms of the Labour Party? This is TTOI-esque.
