Business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has denied there is a culture of misogyny in parliament, insisting it is a safe place for women to work. The Commons speaker Sir Lindsey Hoyle is leading calls for “radical reform” of working practices amid growing concerns about inappropriate and sexist behaviour.
