UK tourists are facing a new "restriction" in Spain that's causing uncertainty for their holiday plans. A "ban" on water usage and restrictions due to a drought in Marbella have left holidaymakers unsure about their trips, reports suggest.Back in March, Malaga introduced tighter measures, capping consumption at 160 litres per person per day. Exceptions to the ban include hotel swimming pools, campsite pools, sports club pools, and therapy pools.
She told the Scotsman newspaper: "It does affect me, but I have lots of access to the sea and I'm always in the water. I've heard the ban might be lifted at some point if things improve. It's still in place at the moment, but it's not peak season yet, so hopefully.", reports Birmingham Live. "There might be a problem for people who are hiring out their homes but the pool isn't open yet, then they can't charge the same price. Guests think they're going to a luxurious villa, but suddenly it doesn't have a pool."
