The two Orcas responsible for the False Bay attacks - known as Port and Starboard -have now spurned their natural prey of seals for shark.to watch the sharks launching themselves out of the water around the nearby Seal Island.
"We remain hopeful that the great whites will return to False Bay and will announce our first sighting when this happens." Between 2010 and 2016, the Shark Spotting Programme recorded an average of 205 per year in False Bay, a major body of water off Cape Town,Nor have any been seen from Seal Island, a small land mass 6km offshore occupied in large numbers by seals, a staple of the great white's diet.
