In the age of populist uprisings, stark political divides and Brexit madness, there is still one thing that unites virtually all MPs across the spectrum – their utter denial about the state of the National Health Service.
KateAndrs If our system is SO good how come NO other country in the world has adopted it !
KateAndrs Privatisation the only saviour for the NHS. One big black hole right now. Billions wasted every year. They cannot even be bothered to collect the hundreds of millions sat in banks across the Eu. All our money sat there.
KateAndrs I think the sacred cow is the £100 billion we have sent to EU since 2000.
KateAndrs NHS is constantly being reformed, & it provides a more efficient service than many other health systems, and like those other health systems it requires additional money over time to provide the same service as health care improves.
KateAndrs Having worked for an American Corporation and later in the NHS. It is very apparent the NHS management structure is from the 1960s. Modern businesses have a flat efficient structure, while the NHS has multiple towers of management across the organisation costing £££ millions.
KateAndrs NHS are massively inefficient still with armies of people managing the managers and negotiating tailored contracts that should just be standard services everywhere.
KateAndrs ‘There is no point mentioning the USA ....’ Why not? The IEA is normally full of praise for US free enterprise values. Your exception in this case shouts hypocrisy. There are very good European models for reform of the NHS ... Most invest very much more per capita than the UK.
KateAndrs Look at the health tourism figures Kate. Astonishing.
KateAndrs The NHS needs to be scrapped, it's a monopoly and we don't allow monopolies. Give me choice, give me my money back to give me my choice. Why do we have a dictatorship in our GPs? Why do we allow nurses and doctors to train at my expense and then leave to go private?
KateAndrs You’re spot on. But you do realise this was part of BorisJohnson’s pitch for leadership. Paying homepage to the NHS, as if it’s a deity is a right of passage for any would be political general.
KateAndrs When will you be doing that?
KateAndrs we don't want your privatised healthcare KateAndrs so please go away
KateAndrs It's reformed every few years. 'Hey it's not working guys let's reform it again!' You know - maybe fund it and let it work itself out for a few years rather than changing the whole fucking system again?
KateAndrs We don't know who throws money at Kate Andrews and the IEA. They are a dodgy Spiv tank that refuses to name it's funders .
KateAndrs Oh yes we can. Mind your own business.
KateAndrs Yes, we can.
KateAndrs toryunderfunding
AwksLaz KateAndrs Typical Torygraph bollocks.
KateAndrs A mathematician finishes a large meal and says: √(-1/64), whats the message ?
KateAndrs Spaffing £££ on the NHS is like feeding cancer. Reform is long overdue.
