Moto Hospitality has submitted an application to Stirling Council planners for the construction and operation of the 4MWp ground-mounted solar farm on a 3.32 hectare site north west of Pirnhall Services at Bannockburn interchange off the M9/M80.
“The proposed development will establish crucial infrastructure for facilitating the charging of electric vehicles, contributing to the shift away from fossil fuel reliance, in compliance with the UK Government’s prohibition on the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2035, and in alignment with the legislative requirement to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
“Two transformers will be utilised as part of this proposed development, located near the access point to the site. The agents said the development was expected to take 12 weeks to construct during which time there would be around 91, or 182 two-way HGV movements.
