Humza Yousaf, the First Minister, has told SNP activists that they must win the upcoming general election. He spoke to about 200 activists at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday during the party's "campaign council", which is like a mini-party conference.
"The SNP is the only party standing on that positive platform and that is exactly why we must, and we will win this general election," he said. The First Minister warned that the campaign won't be easy and that "our opponents will throw everything at us". "We can make history and there's only one way to do it. Most seats across Scotland are a straight fight between the SNP and the Tories."

"The disorganised and distracted SNP government is failing to meet the needs of ordinary people, while its leader has retreated to the nationalist base."
