Singapore's Civil Aviation Authority has temporarily suspended all Boeing 737 Max models from flying into and out of the country.
Several airlines and regulators around the world have already grounded the Max 8 model, following the crash. SilkAir, which operates six Boeing 737 Max aircraft will be affected, as will China Southern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Shandong Airlines and Thai Lion Air, CAAS said in its statement.
Boeing spent five months looking for a solution to the technical fault causing the Lion Air crash, with no progress other than advice to pilots. Passengers ticketed on the 737 Max need to be asking themselves if they want to take the risk.
