The 64-year-old, who is now a dad to nine-year-old son Eric, whom he shares with fiancée Lauren Silverman, said he still thinks reviving the X Factor could give more wannabe stars a chance to find fame.
He beamed: “I am going to do something brand new. It’s going to be hard work, but I’m excited about it. I haven’t signed the contract yet, so I can say no more.”
