Silver Jewellery Is Officially Back In The Spotlight

Since the Princess of Wales wore a floral headpiece made in silver by Jess Collett and Alexander McQueen for the Coronation of King Charles, the white metal has been dominating the style stage. Beyoncé chose two matching silver cuffs by Tiffany & Co. originally designed by Elsa Peretti to accessorise a fiery red dress in Amsterdam during her Renaissance tour, and the same bangle popped up on the wrists of influencers such as Tamara Kalinic and Caroline Daur at fashion month.

She showcases jewellery created by the likes of Sonia Delaunay, Zaha Hadid and Jean Cocteau, alongside many more contemporary artists, who often turn to silver for its malleability and lightness. Upcoming London-based jewellery artist Liv Luttrell used silver to create a pair of wing-shaped earrings, which are now among her most in-demand designs. Silver is once more making its presence felt in high jewellery too.
