They ban tits, why not ban those idiots too?

The first step to tyranny, is to silence the dissidents, and that is what facebook does. They silenced me, for DEFENDING the constitution, and now they seek to silence others for doing the same. SHAME ON THEM!!! IMHO

They censor information, they don't want others to know, only proving their own position too weak to withstand scrutiny. IMHO

No Facebook should not ban the sharing of real events, just because they don't like them, nor should they disable individuals accounts for defending the constitution. Yet, they have, and do.I should know, you can't find me on Facebook, because they disabled my ten years old account

They want to ban anit lock down but other posts generating hatred, racism, nazism, etc they dont block... unbelievable the level of stupidity and hypocrisy we are living.

Of course not?! So we are not free of expression any more?! Might as well go to china.

If the govt and Facebook can decide what citizens can and cannot protest, then what do you think will be the logical outcome in years to come?

Facebook support division.. it is good for margins and to pass along to Putin

To any right-wingers outraged by the idea: I thought you believed 'It's a private company, they can do what they want.' For my part, while I can't say I'm 100% on the side of 'no,' I do have very serious reservations about the impact of 'yes.'

No but such protests are ignorant as.

No. Coronavirus is as much a test of evolution as it is health. If you are stupid enough to demand to do as you want in a pandemic, then evolution may just have passed you by, as did common sense.

The Facist’s at the Guardian would love it if they did. Delete your Facebook.

Will you ban the nurses from participating in these protests too? They are the real heroes, and most of them are without work, furloughed or unemployed. They have plenty of time to protest now. But will you listen?

Should Facebook leave New Orleans off it’s list of cities eligible for COVID19 aid?

No - why should they. Not their responsibility if a group of hoodlums wish to behave irresponsibly. Way too much censorship already.

Yes. Ban them. Use common sense. There is no 1st amendment right at stake, but there is a public health interest and Facebook should not conspire in promoting conduct declared a public health risk.

Yes. They are spreading disinformation that puts others at risk of harm. Stating that the virus is a hoax is deplorable especially when over 40,000 deaths in U.S in a 3 week period. Giving them a platform to disseminate lies is dangerous to the health and well being of many.

They aren’t protesters. They are bioterrorists. Have we not already arrested twisted adults who recorded themselves licking rows of products in grocery and home goods stores with federal domestic terrorism charges?

Yes!

Yes, it must ban

No they should not even though the protestors are endangering public health. Banning free speech sets a dangerous precedent.

No publicity no demonstration

Facebook should be shut down
