WAITROSE shoppers in certain areas of the country will soon be able to get groceries delivered to them in 30minutes via Deliveroo - but they'll no longer be able to shop for items on Ocado.
If successful, the initiative will be pushed out to more locations, possibly over the next 12 weeks, before launching nationwide. If you live near one of the five Waitrose shops taking part in the trial, type "Waitrose" into the search bar to find out if you are in the delivery zone.You can order from one hour after the shop opens to one hour before it closes and you can also track the progress of your order and where your delivery driver is on the app.Just bear in mind there's a minimum spend of £10, and unless you're a Deliveroo Plus you'll be charged between £2.50 and £4.
It has 150 items available to order, although it does warn prices may differ compared to in store. Aldi's service comes with a pricier £4.99 delivery with a minimum £15 spend.from 180 stores nationwide. Delivery also costs £4.99 and items cost the same as in store, although it's unclear if there is a minimum order threshold.
