A new café opening in the new year promises to be a bit of an experience for diners and their four-legged friends. Ruby and Sophia's Dog Bakery Gateway Lodge at Sherwood Forest Corner will transform into a brand new café from January 4.
"We've been working with a herbalist who is knowledgeable in dog care and nutrition to create dog teas. We have a calming tea or a soothing tummy brew as well as our dog beers and wines. We also have a puppichino bar which we have been putting together. Its been a welcome addition to the shop which suffered a huge setback earlier in the year when the business was targeted by thieves. The series of break-ins back left the small business struggling to play catch up as a lot of stock was stolen.
