ONLY 20 per cent of knife thugs are being taken to court despite thousands of fatal stabbings over the last decade, shocking figures reveal today.
“I fear these figures will do nothing to boost victims’ confidence that violent crime is being taken seriously.“But until we get to the root cause of why young people are carrying knives we will move no closer to preventing future victims.” Despite the numbers of knife crime offences soaring by 1,500 per cent since 2008, the number of knife thugs being taken to court has barely risen.
"They need detention centres and boot camps that will train, educate and give these kids some respect for others as well as themselves.
.....but slap an egg on a politician and get jailed straight away.
