Popular Yorkshire band Shed Seven have announced two shows in the tiny village where they met.

The band, who formed in York after meeting in the nearby village of Huntington, have gone on to have four top 10 albums and a number of top 20 singles – including their most recent album A Matter Of Time going to number one. The first hit the big time in the 1990s, with their seminal albums Change Giver and A Maximum High seeing them touring the world.

They have now announced two extra-special homecoming shows at Huntington Working Men's Club on December 21 and 22. The village is where frontman Rick Witter and guitarist Paul Banks first met. They later met bassist Tom Gladwin at Huntington School. A statement from the band said: “Rick and Paul will perform a full set of Sheds classics and share stories during the shows, plus fans can also enjoy a DJ set from Tom Gladwin on the night.
