SHAMIMA Begum's jihadi husband “squirmed and looked distressed” when quizzed about marrying his Brit wife at just 15, a body language expert has revealed.
But, after observing him being interviewed by Sky News, body language expert Judi James believes there was little sign of "soft emotion" while discussing his wife, or her young age when they married. James said: "Probably the most striking aspect of this interview is that – in a way that seems to mirror his wife Shamina’s body language during her interviews – Riedijk appears to display a very low emotional response."But there are no performances of any open signals of softer emotions as he talks of subjects like his wife or her age when they married.
"This type of cut-off can be used to hide the facial expression when a question is difficult or the interviewer doesn’t really want to discuss it."He sighs again as though this is an uncomfortable or unhappy subject to discuss." Reporter Quentin Somerville asked him: “You were married to her when she was 15 years old; how in any way is that acceptable? You were, what, 23?"
"Then I was invited and yeah, she was very young and it might have been better for her to wait a bit.To be honest, when my friend came and said there was a girl who was interested in marriage, I wasn't that interested because of her age, but I accepted the offer anywayAlthough Riedijk admitted to fighting for ISIS, he told the broadcaster he is keen to return home to the Netherlands – which he abandoned in 2014 to join the terror group – with Begum and their baby son.
Squirmed like a misérable worm.
