Court of Appeal rules Shamima Begum's fight to return to UK will go to Supreme Court

The case of Syrian runaway Shamima Begum, who is fighting to return to the UK, will go to the Supreme Court.

The Court of Appeal decided that the case raised a point of law of public importance that only the Supreme Court can resolve. Earlier this months, three Court of Appeal judges ruled Ms Begum should be allowed back to London to fight for the return of her citizenship.Ms Begum, now 20, was one of three schoolgirls who left London to join the Islamic State group in Syria in 2015.

After she was found in a refugee camp in 2019, her British citizenship was revoked by former Home Secretary Sajid Javid on security grounds.

No she should not be allowed no one knows if she killed anybody and what she is capable of

Bring her back! She is a problem created by Britain . She was born here and as far as I am concerned she should be brought back to face the wrath of this weak justice system, be found guilty, jailed, treated like a princess yes just like all the other inmates in the UK!

BBCLondonNews She’s a terrorist. Of course she wants to come back to a cushy life here, because her caliphate has been crushed. No doubt she will be welcomed with open arms, and open benefit books, because this spineless, testically absent government will appease her, rather than deal with her

What a waste of time and money Britain is becoming the bottom of the barrel, let's just open all doors to terrorism.

Keep spending our money on this threat to the uk why has she not been dumped in Bangladesh with dad family

Air strike?

BBCWorld This is ridiculous. She is literally an enemy of the state that is fighting for her. 🤦‍♂️

Fuck's sake. LEAVE HER WHERE SHE WAS HAPPY TO GO TO. WE DON'T WANT HER!!😠😠😡😡

Who’s paying her legal fees 🤔🤔🤔 BorisJohnson is it the same MSM that puts a red scarf in her, sitting in a lovely room, Union Jack cushion, English tea cup and all...trying to sell something STAGED

😂😂😂

JUST SAY 'NO!' : Waste of time and money ....ONLY THE LAWYERS BENEFIT FROM THIS !

To many do-gooders agreeing she should be allowed back.. she lost her right to return when she turned her back on the UK!

Who's picking up the bill £££?

BBCWorld All the bleeding heart liberals on here. Wow.

Do you think she'd pick me up tobacco?

She’s a terrorist don’t let her back in. She made a conscious decision. Live with the consequences like the rest of us do. Play stupid games win stupid prizes

She should never be allowed back in this or any other civilised country.

that's her back in england then. the 'supreme' court is a court of political appointments and has no regard for the law.

BBCWorld Underage or not, she in effect denounced her Citizenship when she did all that she could to join ISIS. As for being raped, this maybe hard to prove. Legally, it maybe statutory but the way she talks abt her husband seems as if its consensual.

Does it matter? Somebody will top the terrorist slut when it returns anyway! Bacon sarnie anyone?

So the UK lost and is appealing? 🤔

Hope she’s bloody paying for this

BBCWorld Farcical decision

This individual has made a mockery of UK - committed treason and now expects to be welcomed back?! Bulger killers were 10 years old when they were rightly imprisoned - cannot call Begum an innocent school girl

Maybe we should hold a referendum, ask the people what they want.........

You made your bed now lay in it

Probably a video link from her London flat as too dangerous to appear in court. (or Covid-19 excuse; quarantined). SC usually support terrorists; so will be a short hearing with a lengthy deliberation; while she get a her flat sorted. Probably the only debate where in UK to live

I refuse to be sad about a terrorist

We will do them a straight swap, Pig Face Begum for Prince Andrew

Such cases damage the whole Muslim community, & should be treated as per best possible country laws to protect the country any shape of terrorism & racism.

She shouldn't be allowed to return she knew exactly what she was doing then turns on the water works I have no sympathy no entry to the UK

Ghost eyes dont feels they zombies terrorism

Their eyes read hates

KawoonKhamoosh

If shes let back into the country the only place she should go is to our prison system. For fuck sake we put people in prison for decades for monetary crimes but literally being a terrorist goes unpunished? Come on.

So why do ' we' have to pick up the tab just in the name of justice. Leave her where she is.

F. U. C. K. O. F. F

She'll never see a day in court if she comes back. We are too weak.

Anyone in support of her cause take a few hours and watch ‘once upon a time in Iraq’ bbc doc.

Shouldn't the headline actually be: 'Govt wins right to appeal Shamima Begum's right to return to UK in the Supreme Court'? Previous court ruled she be allowed to return and govt applied for permission to appeal. Despite BBC spin, isn't this actually win for govt (bad 4 her)?

The real story there is at the end. Who leaked that?

BBCWorld I think she should be allowed in straight to intelligent service for interrogation about country allowed her entry to Daesh and that country should be punished

BBCWorld She turned her back on Britain when she left. She expressed no remorse when interviewed. It was right to revoke her citizenship and she should not be allowed to permanently return.

Who's paying for all this nonsense?

BBCWorld Why not stay in Syria.

BBCLondonNews Diversion news, How many kayaks sold on the beaches of Northern France today.

There’s a lesson here for those wishing to dismantle all things western, it’s not the perfect society but it’s the best there is.

Who is paying her legal fees?

Courts overturning the ruling of the home office. What's the point of government when some smart-arsed lawyer can get rulings chucked out?

BBCWorld One question about this court of appeal/Supreme business, who the f**k is paying for it? My money is on the British Taxpayer. Anyone know or can enlighten me. Curious 🤔

Someone said she was offered a flat in Keighley - so decided to stay where she is.

Waste of money.

And how much will that cost the tax payers absolutely disgusting she is a terrorist she went knowingly and should never be allowed back in 🤬🤬

You just had to include the word 'HEADS' didnt you?

What a joke!

BBCWorld I say bring her back, charge her for treason against the state. She can't just return and be left unanswerable. Who know the things she's learnt and seen since she has been in Syria. He mental state needs to be evaluated also.

Met at the Airport, In a cage in the back of the van, to Police station, charged with treason, put before magistrate, remanded by court, trial, prison, dies, buried in prison grounds unmarked grave... job done..

Wonder how many people that are saying she shouldn't come back here say the words 'deport them back home' when it's anyone else....

BBCWorld A BREEDER FOR IS IS MUSLIM WE GOT THEM N REAL AMERICA ITS BLM BREEDER

She can fuck right off

She should never be allowed back in.

the corts have failed are country! must shut them down!!!

BBCWorld Keep that terrorist out

Read out in court the names of British servicemen lost in the fight against the organisation she joined!

That’s the government fucked then! Supreme Court? 😂

BBCWorld

I hope the British tax payers are not covering the legal costs for this.

Funded by who. The British tax payer I assume.

BBCWorld How sick are the liberals they are willing to fight for a bitch who willingly went to a terrorist organization which wanted to kill the innocents ! So fucked up she wanted to kill you assholes 🤷‍♂️

Those socialists judges on the Supreme Court are likely to side with her.

BBCWorld A good government would have knocked her off by now.

She made her choice just because it never worked out the way she wanted she now can’t come back saying she never did anything wrong she willingly supported and married terrorist who would have willingly carried out attacks on this country come on people this is an easy decision

Oh great. The Supreme Court, packed with activist judges. It's a pity we can't sue them for the inevitable deaths that will happen when we let all the ISIS nut jobs back in.

MrHarryCole The Supreme Court you say! The legal arm of the opposition to The Government! Enough said

AllLivesMatter eh lads?! ...lads?

She decided to leave for a better life, perhaps she should stick with her decision. All the best. You ain’t going anywhere!

uesless can't do anything right can the goverment 🙄

And the taxpayers paying for this? She should fund her own, or get the terrorists she loves to do it.

BBCWorld she was born in Britain so why is this a discussion! this prolonged, crass circus is just stirring bigoted hate I do not care what she did, that is for UK courts to decide but our citizen, our problem, get over it! FFS

It is in the interest of the British Public's safety, that fanatics should most definitely NOT be allowed to perpetuate their radical views here.

Shamima BEGONE!

We don't want that traitor back!

Have the appeall over remote video link? This is not new, particularly at the moment where people are communicating over networks? If it's good enough for Government and opposition MP's it's good enough for her?

She is UK’s problem. UK law is not fit for purpose. Treason law is defunct, that’s why U.K. tries to strip people of their citizenship and make these people someone else’s problem. UK needs to look closer to home and fix its own laws.

The Jihadi bride ( Shamima Begum's ) return to England’s pastures has been put on hold after the British Government has won the right to fight the case at the Supreme Court. 😂✔️🕺 UKGovernment Boris Must outweigh!! ✔️ Agreed, but keep her out in the meantime.

Just seeing her stupid face angers me. A horrible person that deserves no mercy. She knew what she was doing.

If the court decides she’s coming back then one of the judges shld go and get her

Will got to supreme communist court you mean

I don’t understand why if someone willingly leaves the country to set up home elsewhere regardless of colour or creed they don’t follow a process and get accepted or rejected - I have a view on this particular case but in general terms if you made your bed lie in it.

Hope she loses.

whilst she is a traitor... she is still a british citizen (whether the tory home office like it or not) She is our problem and frankly I am beyond disappointed that this has to go to the highest court in the land! law is law, just lock her up!

shes now a killer, shes a danger.
