Behind some of the most innocent, quaint streets of Yorkshire lies notorious gangs whose horrifying crimes, destruction, and appalling acts have destroyed communities.
In recent years gang crime in Huddersfield has surged, with some gangs coming into sharp focus in high-profile killings, such as the tragic death of Khayri McLean. The 15-year-old was stabbed outside North Huddersfield Trust School on September 21, last year, leaving the community heartbroken and scared for their safety.
The most notorious gangs are said to operate in Bradley, Brackenhall, Deighton, Fartown, Sheepridge, Rawthorpe, Dalton, and Crosland Moor, to name a few. For decades the gangs operating in Huddersfield are understood to be heavily involved in the supply of narcotics, particularly the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.
