Seaside town named UK's most affordable staycation

One of the North West's traditional seaside towns has been named as the most affordable and popular staycation destination.

Among other things to do includes the Sandcastle Water Park, Blackpool Zoo, SEA LIFE and browse Central Pier. Many adults will also enjoy visiting the resort for its nostalgia and the annual Blackpool Illuminations, which is described as the "greatest free light show in the world." With 135,000 searches on Google each month on average and an impressive 980.8 million TikTok hashtag views, Blackpool proved to be the most popular destination. The research, conducted by credit card brand Aqua, revealed that out of the top 10 most popular destinations, Blackpool ranked the cheapest too, with an average hotel setting you back £72.68 a night.
