Sean Sadler sentenced to life for murdering Birmingham toddler Lilly Hanrahan

His lies were uncovered after doctors found injuries consistent with being shaken, such as bleeding behind the eyes, bruising to the scalp and grab marks on her thighs.

Sadler, from Northfield, Birmingham was a convicted of murder and wounding at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday. Mr Justice Saini told him:"You delayed seeking medical help for a number of hours and in doing so showed callous indifference to Lilly's suffering."This was a brutal assault, on any view, and you have shown no remorse."

He should be put in a deep pit and not fed. Die of starvation and or natural causes. Tired of housing and feeding monsters for life, it serves no useful purpose.

A year ago this week, Eltiona Skana, 30, had admitted the manslaughter of EmilyJones on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Why do we have to pay for these type of folk to be kept alive? He will have an easy time of it and probably get protection.

If he in fact killed this baby well, enjoy your new miserable life 👎. My heart goes out to this baby’s parents and loved ones.

He needs hanging and the woman he was seeing who knew this was happening should be jailed and the key thrown away

Why safeguarding in educational settings in so important. Hate to say it but in hindsight, could the nursery have done more? A child with unexplained bruises (consistent with battery) should not go home to be “monitored”. Sorry - this is NOT their call.
