Sean Dyche believes both he and his players are capable of saving Everton from relegation after another disappointing defeat.
The Blues conceded a 96th minute goal at Bournemouth that cost them a valuable point that appeared to have been earned just minutes earlier when Beto capitalised on a mistake in the home box. But Seamus Coleman’s own goal, following a mix-up with Jordan Pickford, consigned Everton to another frustrating result.READ MORE: Everton future could be terrifying as VAR explanation of DCL decision emergesNottingham Forest’s draw against Crystal Palace means Everton are now just three points above the bottom three.
Speaking after the match at the Vitality Stadium, Dyche said he did not see the game as a missed opportunity and backed himself and his dressing room. Asked whether he believed they had enough to stave off trouble, he said: “Without a shadow of a doubt, the question marks have been over this cub for two and a half/three seasons now. It is not new territory, it is not new territory to me and I have only been here just over a year. That comes with what the badge is.
"But we have come through that before and I believe in the players, I believe in myself without a shadow of a doubt. We will change that. But you can’t make errors like that because that is obviously not helpful when you’re in a game, you have just got back into it, you are seeing the game through and then you don’t see the game through, that is obviously not helpful.”
