A woman who was part of the "Scouse Tom" crime gang stored large amounts of drugs in her work locker before doling them out to street dealers.
Between August 2021 and January 2022 officers from Kendal and Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a number of warrants and positive stop-searches against "Scouse Tom" street dealers, recovering supply amounts of class A drugs, cash, and key mobile phones.READ MORE: Rebecca Joynes victim, 'I realise I sacrificed 18 months to be with a paedophile'
Norton is understood to have organised the activities through Taylor-Morgan by using a variety of SIM cards smuggled into prison. A series of Merseyside-based co-conspirators acted as "cuckoos" and moved into Cumbrian addresses to orchestrate street supply. McClean was jailed last week for three years and four months at Carlisle Crown Court for her role in the gang. Gang leader Norton was jailed for eight years and eight months in February this year. Eight other members of the gang, whose roles included restocking the gang with drugs and acting as a "trusted drug dealer for hire", were also sentenced to a total of over 32 years.
