Rutherglen Glencairn boss Joe Pryce admits one of his first targets this coming season is to reach the first round proper in the Scottish Cup, after disappointment in the last two campaigns.
Last season they entered at the second preliminary round stage but fell at the first hurdle again when they suffered a 4-2 defeat at Penicuik Athletic. “We’ve been knocked out at the preliminary rounds of the last two so we want to get ourselves into the competition proper this season. “I think it came just a touch too early for that team. It was quite new at that moment, but there will be no excuses this season because most of the boys have been here a full season now.Meanwhile, Pryce says the club will be announcing some new signings next week.
