A Scots woman who thought she had pulled a muscle doing a DIY project has been diagnosed with aggressive womb cancer. Joan Frances Boyle injured herself while insulating a cabin ceiling and was admitted to the hospital. An MRI revealed a slipped disc in her back and a large tumor in her womb. She was diagnosed with myometrium, a slow-growing cancer, in February. Joan has a p53 gene mutation that can cause rapid cancer cell growth and spread throughout her body.
