Cross border rail services will be severely disrupted this week by a train drivers strike in a long-running pay dispute.
LNER runs trains between Edinburgh and London, while TransPennine Express services go between Glasgow, Ediburgh and cities in the north of England. Aslef said its members have not had a pay rise for five years and has accused the Government of “giving up” trying to resolve the dispute. “Aslef are the only union left striking after the Government oversaw deals with all the other unions.
