Midlothian Council has shared new pictures of Scotland's first alpine coaster ride being built at a snow sports centre near Edinburgh.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, Midlothian Council has warned people not to fly drones near the site after some tried to film the construction, which could be dangerous for visitors and workers. Earlier this week, it was reported that a local YouTuber filmed footage of the coaster's development as it approaches completion.
Alpine coasters are like rollercoasters, and are popular in mountainous areas in Europe. They are usually put in ski resorts to provide a fun activity that can be accessed all year round. The attraction is also set to get an indoor climbing centre, a soft play area for kids, and a new reception area with a dedicated retail space. Improvements will also be made to provide easier road access to the site.
