The accounts included a number of well-known critics of the Saudi regime, according to prosecutors.

The Saudi government hired two Twitter employees to get personal account information about critics of the regime, US prosecutors say.

The employees were rewarded with a designer watch and tens of thousands of dollars in secret bank accounts, the allegation says.The accounts belonged to those critical of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and the Saudi regime
