The Government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies appears to have been sidelined as ministers take more direct control of the response to coronavirus.
When there is a review on how the Government managed the pandemic, I hope that the performance of Sage and the scientists involved is also investigated.
This saddens me hugely! It’s silencing “free” scientific speech to allow for more conservative political propaganda which no one will be allowed to question. Very worrying. Let our scientists and public health experts do their job without politicians interfering!
