Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has said the government deal to bailout Flybe amounted to a 'nasty cover up subsidy to billionaires', and has challenged chancellor Sajid Javid to publish details of the rescue plan. Read more on this story here:

"The Flybe model is not viable which is why its billionaire owners are looking for a state subsidy for their failed investment."Flybe was last year taken over by a consortium led by Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic - which is in turn 49% owned by America's Delta airline - together with infrastructure group Stobart and hedge fund Cyrus Capital.

But Mr O'Leary challenged Mr Javid to publish further details, telling Sky News that the deal had been a"nasty cover-up". He poured scorn on claims made about Flybe, saying it had"lurched from reconstruction to reconstruction" over the past 20 years. He added that were Flybe to fail, some of its routes would be"readily taken up" by the likes of Ryanair, easyJet and BA.

Socialists say: expropriate these billionaire parasites

Socialism for the rich

Surprise, surprise ! This man has been cheating customers for ages !

A pity Ryan Air weren’t so exercised when it came to compensating me when they cancelled my flight to Italy and getting through to their customer services.... Anybody but Ryan Air !

Keep your nose out your irish go travelling yo your own goverment

This distasteful individual screams foul at the Gov't whilst continuing to screw his staff and customers with low wages and ever more expensive extras, this is the man who charged extra for hand baggage, crammed in more seats and even wanted to charge for using the toilets.

Not a nice man

That was very socialist of O’Leary.

What’s it got to do with him does he not know he’s Irish .

same people would have been screaming, shouting, banging on the tables and slagging off the government for allowing flybe to go down. They would have been defending the thousands of jobs lost and pointing at the travel chaos it caused saying the government should have intervened.

cover up for billionaires? Whats the problem, he isnt one?

Flybe are not being “bailed out”. This guy is way off line.

Louis Walsh has not aged well 🤪

So this has nothing to do with monopolising the market? One less competitor only benefits Ryanair

What the hell has it got to do with you and your cattle car airline.

It’s got nothing to do with him , he’s not British , Bugger off back to Ireland and keep your nose out !

O'Leary we don't care about you like you don't care about your customers!

Is it just me that pukes when this bloke talks

British Airways have written a letter of complaint about this deal as well.

Is Ryanair Registered in Britain. ?

What he is saying is Sajiv Javid thinks we are as stupid as he is in trying to push this through. Unfortunately most people aren't.

I can see the argument for other British airlines to get a tax holiday as well but seeing as Ryanair isn’t a British airline with their headquarters in Dublin and all of their fleet registered in Ireland then Mr O’Leary should probably keep his nose out of the UK’s business!

He has some balls

Considering Ryanair normally tell people where to shove it when it comes to addressing concerns, the government should tell them to...

Fair point Mr O'Leary
