Ryanair refuses to refund passengers with flights to Cyprus despite Brits being banned from going there

The airline has now reassured customers that passengers that are charged to change bookings will be refunded the difference.

But it warned that there may be a delay in responding to your complaint due to the high volume of Covid-19 related queries, local lockdowns and reduced staffing. A spokesperson added: "We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding and reassure them that the option to change their flights to Cyprus for free will remain after their original flight has flown."to the island this week but the airline is offering passengers who've booked tickets for before the end of August the chance to reschedule for free.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get a refund for your flight to Cyprus through your credit or debit card provider.Section 75 of the Consumer Credit ActThis is because the flight hasn't been cancelled and the only reason you're not travelling is because you have decided not to board the plane.

This is not the fault of the airline industry. This is what travel insurance is for. More fool anyone who has spent hundreds of pounds on flights without insurance.

SiwatWatson Lots of disappointed Ryanair customers through no fault of their own are not permitted to travel to Cyprus in July passengers will loose ££££ of pounds, FLIGHTS STILL GOING AHEAD Ryanair have said if you don’t board you will loose all your money, disgusting treatment.

Ryanair why do you continue to pretend British holidaymakers can travel to Cyprus you know we can't due to coronavirus restrictions but Ryanair won't refund them it says flights are going ahead so normal T&C apply. Why do you continue to treat your customers appallingly

easyJet_press easyJet this article is wrong & misleading 1. Flights are still going ahead - EJ flew this morning 2. EJ will only transfer flights to travel before 1/10 this year which is rubbish. easyJet let us transfer flights to next summer RefundPassengers

Simples. Don’t ever use Ryanair.

Why anyone would use this airline is beyond me
