Ruth Langsford made an unusual comment about her marriage to Eamonn Holmes just days before the couple announced their separation.
Speaking just days before the end of her marriage was announced, Ruth expressed her concerns that Eamonn, with whom she shares son Jack, 'might never be 100 per cent right again'. She was referring to the impact of his chronic back pain on their personal lives. In an interview with Woman's Weekly, she spoke about the importance of maintaining good health and ageing gracefully: "I look at Eamonn, who's had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is."
Eamonn described feeling "hopeless" as he moved to a private rehabilitation centre for six weeks, but his wife Ruth remained by his side to aid his recovery. Despite the constant discomfort, Eamonn remains dedicated to his career, managing to work seated during his Monday to Wednesday stint at GB News, which somewhat eases his condition. Eamonn himself has previously expressed concerns about his potential to recover fully.
