Russian jets intercepted heading to UK airspace

Six RAF fighter jets were scrambled on Saturday after Russian aircraft were spotted heading towards British airspace.

I'd be interested if stories like this included the cost of the intercept, seems a bit wasteful (unless it's just being used as generic pilot drills they'd be doing anyway)

Last night I opened my front door and observed a couple walking down my street. As they walked past my house I joined them for a few yards, to ‘see them off’, and I’ll continue to do this to keep my house safe. Unfortunately the local newspaper didn’t regard it as newsworthy!
